And The Next Lot…

More than fifty tracks here...

We have a second batch of tracks from our inbox ready for listening – nearly fifty songs – and would love to get your help rating them. “Who has time to listen to 50 songs?” I hear you cry. Welcome to the world of music blogging :-(

Everyone has their own way of coping with this kind of workload and there’s no right or wrong approach. But if you’d be willing to help us out, here are some suggestions that might help:

1) Don’t start from the top and work down: it gives an unfair advantage to whoever happened to post last. Do jump around in the list as you listen.

2) Don’t try to be fair or objective. Musical taste is almost 100% personal: it’s YOUR biased opinions and choices we want to hear.

3) Do dip in to tracks and see if you like them, as if you were channel hopping on TV. If it doesn’t float your boat, move on. Don’t suffer through a 7 min prog rock epic if you’re hating what you hear.

4) Don’t look up background on the artists: it will bias the way you hear their music. Try to base your choices on what comes out of the speakers. The only question to ask is: do I like this – yes or no?

Go on, give it a go and click on the link below. You know you want to.
