La Shark: Mr Modern Man

Those reliably naughty boys La Shark have come up with a new bromantic biblical video to coincide with their appearance on the BBC Introducing stage at T In The Park this Saturday July 7th.

Their Twitter feed proclaims: “POUR HOMME | POUR FEMME” which pretty much covers all the bases. And Samuel’s mid-song lapse into French to sing about “la petite mort” will hopefully avoid a re-run of Frankie Goes To Hollywood’s famous brush with the BBC censors.

We’re hoping to include live recordings of various favourite acts who are appearing at the festival – including La Shark – on my Saturday night show on 6 Music next weekend.

I didn’t know this band until yesterday and I am very impressed. I like the way the voice is not following a strict pattern, that freedom singing. And tracks are so rich. I just emailed an old collaborator attending the festival. I hope that he can see their performance.

Cheers Mar – so glad you like em… they really are something, I think. When posting this vid I genuinely had no idea the track was about to pop up on our Listening Post this weekend. Obviously it’ll be great if people “like” it enough times to get it into the Fresh Faves, but I’m certainly going to be playing it on 6 Music ASAP, in fact tonight I reckon!

  3. La Shark are great, you must see them live! their shows are awesome
