    …and here they are!

    THE CADBURY SISTERS – Milk
    DARKHER – Hung
JESSY BELL SMITH – John Mouse
    WOODEN ARMS – December
    HONEYFEET – Buried My Husband

  17. This has been one of the most consistently impressive listening posts since I first started visiting this site. A really tricky process trying to whittle the selection down to five.
    Here they are:

    THE CADBURY SISTERS – Milk
THE DANDY HORSES – My Heart Goes Boom
JESSY BELL SMITH – John Mouse
BARE JOHN – All Love Makes
    HONEYFEET – Buried My Husband

I’ve included Honeyfeet on my list because they are quite simply my favourite band.
BUT… I feel I must add a caveat of sorts. I know these people personally, we are not only good friends but also labelmates. So Tom, if you feel this goes against the spirit of the listening post then please substitute with
    DARKHER- Hung

Special mention to THE SHOOTING OF… for highlighting one of the great tragedies of our online existence. I’m weeping as I type.

Apologies to ADAM WEDD, DARKHER, LOVATS and THE TIXX for the fact that Soundcloud randomly dropped you off our Listening Post group overnight. Have created a new playlist above.

But blimey, while we’re here, I do wish people would READ THE BLOODY INSTRUCTIONS on our Soundcloud dropbox.

    (1) Check above that the dropbox is currently open
Tracks sent while we’re closed won’t get heard

    (2) Add ARTIST NAME (in capitals, with a dash) in front of your Song Title
Like this: GOTYE – Somebody That I Used To Know

    (3) UK artists: also upload the track to BBC Introducing
You can do this here: bbc.co.uk/introducing/uploader
    NO UPLOAD = NO AIRPLAY

Every weekend, literally dozens of artists ignore the fact that our dropbox is NOW CLOSED and send us their beloved tracks, all of which get deleted unheard every Monday when we reopen for business. We regularly puzzle over track titles like “jamesclayton – blackbirds – the seagulls” or “theofficepr – summer song (+4db master0 ver 2)”. And week after week there are UK artists who submit tracks they’ve worked on for months which I immediately earmark for BBC Introducing airplay – only to find after all that they couldn’t be bothered to send the tracks to BBC Introducing. Read more about this and hear a load of examples here.

THE POCKET GODS – Perfect Blue
    THE SHOOTING OF… – 1000 Facebook Likes
THE TWENTY – Have You Seen Her?

  33. Happy Sunday music lovers!

It has taken me the best part of today listening to every track on this week’s Listening Post and I have to say all 25 tracks are original, fresh and above all memorable in their own undefinable way! In the spirit of this valuable service and after much soul searching and agonising, I have randomly selected five tracks, but I would like to convey my appreciation of all the listed tracks without ranking. Possibly the best selection yet, and a huge contrast to the previous two Listening Posts, which makes me think that perhaps the teams making the weekly selections vary from week to week. It would be interesting to know if this is the case.

ELOISE KEATING – Be My Ghost (The Green Light)
    POLKADODGE – Laughing In Spanish
    THE CADBURY SISTERS – Milk
TOM MISCH & CARMODY – The Last Song
    WOODEN ARMS – December

Thank you as ever to Tom and the FOTN team. Have a great week everyone.
