Today’s guest blog post comes from Stephen Gilchrist of Brixton Hill Studios and founder of new label Brixton Hillbilly Records.
“…tracks arrive hotfooted from Brixton Hill Studios – perhaps the funkiest creative hub to be found anywhere in South London.”
Tom Robinson – BBC 6music
Not our words, but the words of hero and musical mentor Tom Robinson. What a brilliant endorsement to get – and one we could not be more happy to have received. Many of you will have Fenced In by Hot Sauce Pony on Fresh Faves: Batch 208 and on the BBC Introducing Mixtape that followed. It’s the lead track from our forthcoming single release on Brixton Hillbilly Records.
To celebrate this release we are throwing The Party Of The Century on Friday 4th Novermber 2016 from 7pm featuring sets from both stars of the single, Hot Sauce Pony and Gaygirl, plus special guests A Lifetime With Mercury. These are going to be filmed and released in some form of a webcast later in the year as well.
However this is a private party at our studios and not open to the general public. Just for our friends, our beloved Brixton Hill Studios community and a few select VIPs. But we would love a few of you awesome listeners who voted for us to join us to for the evening.
Therefore the first 5 people to email firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line “Brixton Hillybilly Fresh On The Net” will be replied to and added to the list along with their plus-one guest.
See you on the 4th!
