You probably knew this already, but in the days before BBC Introducing and the rise of MySpace, Radio 1 had some comprehensive info pages for upcoming artists – explaining a lot of the basics about how the music industry works. These pages are being overhauled and updated at the moment and the new versions will appear as part of the new BBC Introducing pages in due course. But meantime they’re all still there at bbc.co.uk/radio1/onemusic/fatguides. Even though some of the info is now out of date, there’s tons of interesting and useful stuff there. Well worth checking out.
