  1. Good Morning All,

A nice early start at ML HQ so what better than a good cuppa and the listening post, even Mono Dog is listening in with me today πŸ™‚

A very strong set of songs again this week. Here are our faves, Beryl barked approval at all choices:

    SWIM – Creeper
    THE BLUEPRINTS – Walk
THE POCKET GODS – Searching for the divine
    THIS IS ETHMO – Champ
    FUZZY SABOTEUR – Alpinecore

Swim reminded me of Delphic, which is always a good thing. The Blueprints track was just alovely slice of guitar pop. The Pocket Gods took me straight back to 1991 and listening to The Telescopes. This is Ethmo – I’ve listened to everything on their Soundcloud page and it’s mind bending, brilliant stuff. Lastly, Fuzzy Saboteur – simply a stunning piece of music! I’m in love with it!

    Have a great weekend all.

    Thanks for the tunes.

    ML x

  20. Just One

WES MARTIN – THE MARK OF CAIN

I’m suprised that only one other person here ranked him in their top five so far. I think it stands out because it is lyrically powerful, beautifully arranged and performed in an understated way which brings 70s folk revival to mind but feeling very much a contemporary piece. Glad to find Wes Martin, thanks.

Cheers Bird Radio – welcome to our Fresh On The Net Listening Post, and thanks for showing your support for Wes – though we only count the votes from people who listen to everything and pick their Top Five. FWIW I liked Wes’s track too and would have included it on my BBC Introducing Mixtape if he’d only uploaded it to, erm, BBC Introducing. Tom R
