To The End of The World is a jugband anthem for extinction by Glasgow’s THE BIG NOWHERE – a group sketched out in 2008 on the back of a cigarette packet by Doctors Billy Crowe & Simon Sinclair. Both claim to be “graduates from the school of lifemanship who hold Phds in Rapscallionry, Fisticuffs and Female Anatomy.”

I find it impossible to stop singing this morbidly catchy junkyard hoedown from their recent EP ‘Christmas In The Gutter’ – though up till now I’ve been obliged to only share the BBC-approved expurgated version on air so as not to offend Daily Mail readers who might be listening to digital radio at 3am with their kids.

Come to think of it, if you are reading this in the company of very young or impressionable persons you might prefer not to hit play until they’ve left the room 🙂
