Palestine Music Expo 2017

Palestine Music Expo

This email arrived today from Martin Goldschmidt – the founder and chairman of legendary UK indie label Cooking Vinyl

“Last November I went to Israel for the first time to see the industry showcase Tune In Tel Aviv. Jeremy from Tune in Tel Aviv kindly also hooked me up with some Palestinian musicians who took me around the West Bank.

We met their fellow musicians including Abed from Khalas and Mahmood from Dam. We hung out and they told me many moving stories: I found that they were inspirational people with fantastic music, culture and hummus, surviving occupation under very tough conditions.

Spontaneously and partly because of the unique challenges Palestinians face, my new friends and I decided to set up an international showcase for musicians in Palestine. The Israeli event was great, so my new Palestinian friends and I have been working hard ever since on getting a Palestine Music Expo to happen and we need your help.
