Launching on the 13th of October at the Irish Cultural Centre Hammersmith is Glór Nua: Next Generation Music – A monthly evening of live music, celebrating new emerging artists from London & Ireland! Hosted by singer/songwriter and Poet, Ruby K.
Glór Nua roughly translates as New Voices in Irish Gaelic, and will provide a platform for a variety of new artists to perform and be discovered, alongside live performances from more established acts from London and the Island of Ireland. We aim to unite talented contemporary musical artists and immerse audiences in the sounds that keep the city and the emerald isle moving and grooving.
Glór Nua is open to acts from all music genres, cultures and backgrounds, celebrating diverse styles and personalities. We know that people and musical self expression comes in all shapes and sizes and can’t always be put in a box, so why would we? Instead, we want to put it on stage at the ICC.
Featuring in Glór Nua’s opening night will be S.P.A.M. the solo project of singer/songwriter Sean Meaney hailing from Donnegal, the rebellious reels of London based quintet Evolution of Fishermen, and the honest and soulful R&B vocals from East London’s Ayeisha Raquel!
Tickets are available here or from www.irishculturalcentre.co.uk/whats-on.
If you are a music artist and would like to perform on one of the nights, please get in touch with samples of your music. We will be accepting new artist submissions on a rolling basis.
The ICC is located at 5 Black’s Road, Hammersmith W6 9DL, across the road from Hammersmith Tube and Bus Stations (Piccadilly, District, Hammersmith & City and Circle Lines).
