Hello everyone – sorry, it’s time to repeat last month’s rant about the BBC Introducing Uploader.
Last week about eighty people clicked on our Send Us A Track link on this blog and eleven of them have duly ended up as this week’s Fresh Faves. Every one of those artists saw a link saying: “UK artists: be sure to submit your latest tracks to the BBC Introducing Uploader”
Now I host BBC 6 Music’s Introducing Mixtape show which consists entirely of tracks sent to the BBC Introducing Uploader, as the name suggests…. And you know what?
Three of this week’s Fresh Faves still can’t be featured on my BBC Introducing Mixtape because… the artists couldn’t be arsed to “submit their latest tracks to the BBC Introducing Uploader“. See last month’s post for more about why this matters – and check out the comments at the bottom of that page.

You can only say it so many times Tom.
But you being the true gent you are,you give artists another chance.
COME ON ARTISTS-GET WITH IT MY LOVELIES!!!
I uploaded my track “So Long, Souvenirs” to bbc introducing a couple of months ago and it just got featured now on fresh faves so does that need to be re-uploaded to introducing or does the old upload still count?
Cheers
Thomas
Thomas, don’t worry – you’re actually leading the field this week. Once a track is uploaded it stays there until you take it down again – and any new music show at the BBC from Steve Lamacq to Huw Stephens will have access to it. Your wonderful “So Long Souvenirs” is already downloaded on my hard drive at home. It’s earmarked for my Mixtape a week on Sunday – and a repeat spin on my Saturday show the weekend after that, too. Nice work 🙂
Hi Tom,
Our track My Captain by Cartesian Jetstream has made it on to your listening post this week which is brilliant.
I have a quick question though. When I uploaded the track via the dropbox, Soundcloud has created an additional account which is not our correct one (the correct one is http://www.soundcloud.com/cartesian-jetstream), if we do get selected for radio play can the above link be displayed as I would hate for people to be directed to the wrong link! Our tracks are also up on the BBC introducing site.
Thanks and keep up the brilliant work you are doing, this website is a top resource for up and coming bands.
Ben
Thanks a lot mate, can’t wait to hear it on ze’ wireless
Hi Tom,
Sorry we had a bit of miscommunication in our band and each one of us thought the other had already uploaded it!
It’s sorted now and our track “Runaway”, is now on the Introducing Uploader.
Thanks!
Steve.
