This Friday in London

Autoheart's Punch

Hello everybody – pleased to meet you – we’re a London based band called Autoheart and this Friday ( September 21st) sees the fifth outing of our own live music night PUNCH – this time at our new home: The BarFly in Camden.

We play, and pick the brilliant bands that play with us and this time we’re planning something more ambitious. We will be recording the event and releasing three songs – one by each act – as a special PUNCH podcast, which Tom Robinson has kindly agreed to also make available via Fresh on the Net. If you turn up this Friday and scream loud enough you might just get on the record!
Sion Russell Jones

This time we have the brilliant Sion Russell Jones, from Cardiff, Wales – currently on a mini UK tour. He does this brilliant one man band with a kick drum and two mics, which allows him be his own backing vocalist. Genius songwriter, and ginger too… eat your heart out, Ed Sheeran.

 I Am A Pilot

And also sharing the bill is I Am A Pilot, also from London. They are folky, beat-ey, melancholy and beautiful post rock meets uke-pop – singer Fynan’s vocals are fragile, raw, haunting… reminds us a bit of the gorgeous Scott Matthew. Oh, and he also sometimes plays the harmonica which is an instant 10 out of 10 in our book.

So if you like what you hear, visit and join the event.

It’s £6 to get in, with the doors open at 7pm, on  September 21st at
The BarFly, 49 Chalk Farm Rd, London NW1 8AN.
