Alan Dreezer reflects on using Audiomovers as a collaborative platform to record his upcoming album.
How Audiomovers Keeps My Creative Partnership Alive from Miles Away
As an independent artist, maintaining a productive working relationship with your producer can be a challenge—especially when distance gets in the way. Since moving from Essex to Eastbourne, I’ve been collaborating remotely with my long-time producer, Elliot Richardson of Highfield Studio, and the key to making that possible has been a brilliant piece of software called Audiomovers.
Audiomovers was founded in 2017 by Igor Maxymenko and Yuriy Shevyrov, two innovators with years of experience in the high-end audio software industry, Audiomovers quickly gained recognition during the pandemic by meeting the rapidly changing demands of producers, mixers, songwriters and studios needing to collaborate remotely.
Audiomovers allows me to hear exactly what’s coming through Elliot’s mixing desk in real time. Whether he’s layering new instruments, adjusting levels, or experimenting with textures, I can listen along and offer feedback instantly—almost as if I’m sitting right there in the control room.
My typical process begins with me recording a lyric and vocal melody demo to a click track once a song idea is fully formed. I send that over to Elliot, along with detailed session notes and reference tracks that capture the mood and sound direction we’re aiming for. From there, he starts building the track—adding drums, bass, synths, guitars, and other elements—while I tune in via Audiomovers to help shape the sound as it develops.
This workflow has completely transformed how we collaborate. It not only saves time and travel costs but also keeps the creative energy flowing seamlessly, despite the distance. The immediacy of being able to hear every tweak and adjustment live means our sessions retain that spark of spontaneity that’s so crucial in music production.
For any artist, songwriter, or producer working remotely, I can’t recommend Audiomovers highly enough. It’s an intuitive, high-quality, and genuinely game-changing tool for keeping your creative partnerships strong—no matter where in the world you are.
Thanks for this Alan. Really informative and good to know about. 🙂
