Extra Gems: 15th March 2013

Too much music, too little airtime…

This week we decided to raise the bar a little and reduce the number of tracks presented on our listening post, to make the task a little easier for our readers. But here are another 14 tracks submitted this week – in a variety of styles – that also tickled my fancy, even though we didn’t have room to include them in the final 26.

I’d particularly draw your attention to the fine gumbo groove behind Randolph Swain‘s swampy imprecations, the liquid solo piano Interlude by Eduards Ozolins and Bo Walton‘s deliciously authentic rock’n’roots stylings. Hopefully there’ll be something tasty here for everyone… Tuck into this selection box, folks, and see what takes your fancy !

  1. Thanks for including us in the Extra Gems…I was talking to a bloke down the Pub (on Ganymede of course) and he was saying the Fresh Faves was a little ‘last year’ and that the Extra Gems was the new big thing. At least I think that’s what he said (I’d drank several stoobs of Chuckawak Hop juice at the time) 🙂

    Cheers
