“Hot on the heels of their debut single Dismount – which tickled the fancy of pop fans and tastemakers alike, including Steve Lamacq and Tom Robinson – Notice It All is a beaming proclamation of a band who have quickly become adept at making unexpected pop music that is resplendent with melodic hooks, fresh lyrical finery, and glitch electronica. They describe themselves as making neon lit, radiant, angular pop music. Joy Atlas is singer Beccy Owen, keyboard/synth player Adam Kent, bassist Ian ‘Dodge’ Paterson and drummer Ged Robinson. Craig Elliott is a solo musician hailing from Wellington, New Zealand. Since relocating to the Northern Hemisphere Craig has self-released two bedroom-recorded EPs of hyperactive noise-pop. In March 2014 Craig released the Au Revoir Psycho EP (frenzied, loud, invigorating, like getting punched in the face with a waterfall (literally); a soundtrack to running around the lounge, dizzy from too much sugar, and then falling asleep on the carpet with a stomach ache), and a year later followed it up with the Evil Billet-Doux EP (envisioned, conceptually, as “more of the same but a bit longer”). In May 2015 Craig joined the roster of UK-based/NZ-born label Muzai Records, through which he will be reissuing these EPs as the Abandoned Theme Park Double EP in cassette and digital formats in November 2015.”

Inspiration stretches from Leonard Cohen to Noel Gallagher through The National to Neil Young. The Last Approval is the main single from Cocktails and Gasoline. The songs were all recorded in a cabin in the outback of the countryside. This was done to preserve the the vast feeling of the wastelands. Currently Jonas Carping is planning the upcoming tour for the new album.”

“It hasn’t taken long for Amsterdam based psychedelic/shamanic/folk/rock trio My Baby’s swampy blues, roots and funk inflected sound to cast a formidable spell. Over the past 12 months, brother-sister-duo Joost (drums) and Cato van Dyke (vocals) plus faithful guitarist Daniel “daFreez” Johnston have had their mojo working overtime; after a UK tour with Seasick Steve, who has appraised their unique approach, and a release of their second album “Shamanaid’, MY BABY has been spreading their mesmerizing live act to the approval of audiences worldwide; featuring on renowned festivals such as Glastonbury, Sziget and Lowlands. My Baby’s new single Remedy II is a newly re-recorded alternative version of the track originally found on their debut album Shamanaid. It’s a sound inspired by old blues and folk music, but played with the rawness of sixties and seventies soul and funk and an edgy trance like infusion of west African desert blues, Moroccan gnawa, Indian ragas and dance music of all forms has helped to shape their sound.
